222 Transverter Construction (March Meeting)
Posted by Jarred - KF2MR

Lets see if we can get one or two of these "eBay" transverters together at the March meeting. If you look at the September 2015 RVHFG Journal (or on eBay) you will see a picture of what comes with the kit. I have also listed the other materials I will bring. What other tools or materials will we need to get this put together. Please reply to volunteer to bring them.

I have:

- RG316 interconnection coax
- Standoffs
- Flat aluminum stock (for some extra heat sink)
- Machine screws/nuts
- Label Maker

Here are some things I think we will need:

Power Supply
Power/SWR Meter
Coax Jumpers for meter/dummy load connection
Dummy Load
Cordless drill and bit set
Soldering Iron and solder
Hand Tools
Glue (hot glue, contact cement, or superglue)
Power cable conductors (14-16 AWG OK)
Interconnection conductors (18-20 AWG OK)

Please reply if you can bring some/all of these things. We should have two of everything for two kits.

Jarred,
I can bring a hot glue gun, coax jumpers, a cordless drill and bits, a power supply, soldering iron and solder, and an antenna analyzer that has SWR function, and some hand tools.

Harry, Wondering about the capability of your antenna analyzer to check a few DIY vhf antennas.
I'm currently working on a 144-222-432+ log periodic.

Also all set on interconnecting wire and enough power cable to get things up and running.
